Patterson Baptist Church (COVID-19) Announcement- 3/16/20
From Brother R.C James and PBC Leadership
We do believe the Lord calls us to make decisions with Godly wisdom that may require modifications to our normal Church schedule. The leadership of PBC is confident in the Lord’s direction and the Lord’s power during times of difficulty, including this current health crisis.
Current science and medical professionals consider social distancing to be a significant tool in limiting the further spread of the Corona virus.
We believe fully in our obligation to protect the health and well-being of our members and those with whom we interact. As a result of the closing of Pierce County schools, and the recommendation from the Governor’s office, we will be implementing the following preventative steps:
1. Beginning Monday, March 16th, normal Sunday services, Wednesday services and all other weekly activities will be suspended until further notice.
2. We are currently working on solutions to be able to broadcast messages online. We plan to share a message from Brother R.C. this Wednesday night 3/18/20. (Directions for tuning in will be provided)
3. We are all aware that the Lord has blessed us financially, but to continue to meet the operational expenses of the Church we must continue to give. As a result, everyone is encouraged to continue to mail their tithes and offerings to the Church at P.O. Box 385 Patterson, Georgia 31557. We are currently researching options for online giving as well.
4. The Church office and staff will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
We thank each of you in advance for your support as we work through an unprecedented situation. We ask that you share this with those who might not be on Facebook also.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and revise our plans as conditions warrant. We will strive to keep everyone informed as we work through these challenges together.
Brother R.C. James and PBC Leadership
